Curious about that myself.

One of the things I do every Sat/Sunday if I\'m playing is to listen to the handicapping shows via the \'net. Since Jason\'s show comes on an hour earlier now, I have begun to include the worst of the shows - Roger Stein show - as well. He has a gentleman named Roger Hardoon - not certain he is a Rags guy, but he touts it with Stein - who offers a pick each day. After picking up sunday\'s TG analysis including Belmont, I hear his pick and it just so happens to conflict with one of the TG Belmont picks. So, there you have it - mano on mano, so to speak. Winner? TG runs first and third. Hardoon? Up the track... funnier yet, the race was also picked by Jerry J...

You can do a little better -- Ralph Siraco\'s show, \"Race Day Las Vegas\", is on at the same time as Stein (actually starts 8:05 am PDT).
Broadcast on KSHP-AM 1400, link at: http://player.warpradio.com/player.asp?mode=&ref=&page=Tuner&id=6226&wmpVer=10&br=IE&os=win&streamType=&streamRate=
Ralph is a long time participant and plugger of the Coast Casino\'s various contests, so he\'s OK by me.
He\'s especially good for info about upcoming Vegas handicapping events (some that are usually intended for locals), if you were thinking about making a quick trip -- there always seems to be a Twin Q jackpot or some el cheapo contest somewhere in town that you might not find out about if you just show up fresh off the plane.
listen to ralph every day...tape him for the last half hour on wkends as the first 30 are just casino promos...where else can you get John Asher\'s wrong piks (although I lvoe ahser , he\'s terrible on the show for piks, great for information) & Jerry J ? BTW - JJ is a pretty good guy and eager to answer any questions if you have them...answers his phone himself!
First of all, it\'s Jon Hardoon, and he does the daily rags seminars at Saratoga for the first 5 weeks of the meet. He\'s very good, actually, though he seems to run hot and cold.
In fact, here\'s a story. I went to the TG seminar one saturday last year. (JB did it) I left a few minutes early to catch the tail end of the Rags one (It wasn\'t Jon, but a protege) and they gave out the winner of the last race that ended up bailing out my day.
Everyone has good days and bad days. They\'re both good products. Whatever.
If you left early, how do you know I didn\'t give out the tri?
Dreadlockstar:
(and please take this with the intended sense of humor)
Lets see. I would imagine Hardoon (whom I\'ve heard is very good) is a \"protege\"
of the Lens. They let someone who is the protege of a protege pitch the seminar?
I\'ve always thought of checking out a Rag Revue up at the Spa. I am thinking of
getting a T-shirt or hat which says simply \"Cube\" or maybe a shirt that says
\"Indict Pletch Now!\"
After a few minutes, in a voice which I have always imagined is quite grating,
I could ask \"When do we get to the part of the seminar where we bash Brown?\"
Bee...
You are the man.
I have reservations at the clubhouse trackside tent for the weekend. I got your cell. Please lets make sure we get together for a beer etc.
Golf Anyone?
Hey Jerry, we once talked about a golf outing. Maybe sometime you could sponser a TG Golf Outing for customers etc....just thought especially for those later Friday post times....at the SPA. Saratoga National Anyone Opening or Closing Weekend?
NC Tony
NCT--
Looking forward to seeing you opening weekend.
I will be up for racing Friday, Saturday, possibly Sunday.
Thank you for jogging my memory.
In fact, your seminar must\'ve ended slightly before noon. (Their\'s goes 11:30-noonish) So I hustled over and got the last race.
Alas, I didn\'t go to the seminar where you gave out the 100-1 last race winner.
Jerry,
Unless i mis-read it, I think that he was saying that your selections had him in the trap all day, and Ragozin\'s last race selection got him out.
Richiebee,
I will be there opening weekend as well (opening day through Sunday). Really look forward to seeing you and others up there.
We all need to wear nametags or something with our TG handles so everyone knows who\'s who.
They draw on Friday for next Wednesday, one time!
I\'ll be up there on opening weekend Saturday and would love to meet up with the TG gang. Will everybody be going to seminar at the Carolina BBQ? Hope to see you there. - Bob
oh, I almost forgot to mention this on the opening post of this thread...you really have to triple check the # if you get the TG analysis...the race the analysis picked the winner over rags, they had the # wrong...just trying to be factually correct while missing the gathering at Saratoga this wkend...damn it. Good time to all!
Tony-- after the way I played yesterday, I dunno. I\'m staying 50 yards from Torrey Pines at Dmr, and I may not even try it. I am a beaten man.
However-- when are the late Fri posts? The TG house this year is very close to Saratoga National.
Alan will be up there opening and Travers weekend, I\'ve got Whitney, Alabama, and Labor day, Julian has the other. We were talking to Steve about strating a little earlier, don\'t know where that stands and what\'s involved.
For those looking to hook up with us that have not done so before, we basically hang around the Barbecue all day between races-- even if you don\'t make the seminar you can find us there.
Mall-- The 10k decision was their\'s, I would have made it 5k. The thinking was probably to make it the Mother of All Contests, and if they got international sign-ups, they may have succeeded. I agree about getting those guys in the pools, not because of handicapping (especially on Pro-Ride), but because they have little experience with exotics. Don\'t bring a knife to a gun fight.
Twilight racing is on the opening and closing weekends.
Looks like all you have to do is bet John Sadler. Nice day for him.
2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31 and Friday, September, 4
Jerry, I\'ll have my clubs opening weekend and closing weekend if we can get up a game.
My game seems to be in transition....as they say. Just Played Muirfield Village and shot 85, so not too bad. Tough course.
I can feel the adrenalin going already. Can\'t wait!!
NC Tony
Tony, sounds like the back is getting better? See you at KNLD?
Yes I\'ll be there the opening week is the current plan!! may add on some more dates.
Yes the back is getting better. (maybe cause I\'m working out again....)and thanks for asking!!!
NC Tony
Add me to the list of being there opening weekend.
Look forward to catching up with all of you and getting of my current \"double x\" pattern!! Maybe some help from Allan\'s seminar will get me off the schneid!
Jim
Jimbo you and the gang enjoy. I keep thinking one of these years is going to be my year to get up there and see everybody. But once again in the midst of a tough stretch in doesn\'t look like its gonna work out.
Everybody knock\'em dead at the windows. Maybe I\'m there in spirit.
