Title: Possible new sire stat?
Post by: sekrah on June 10, 2009, 02:48:14 AM
Jerry, would it be possible to have some sort of rating or figure that judges how volatile a sire\'s offspring\'s TG figures are?

Does it seem unreasonable for me to assume that certain sires may pass on a \"consistancy\" gene where their offspring don\'t have big reactions/wild swings in figures.   Perhaps \"Average reaction to Top\" could be one measuring stick.

Just wondering if you\'ve ever thought about this and if it were possible to convey in the Sire Profile?

We are developing some new sire profiles for a joint venture we are working on that will be aimed at those who breed and buy unraced horses, but that won\'t be one of the categories. Also tough to see how it can help you in a specific case.
