Title: ROTW -- Aristides
Post by: TGAB on May 29, 2009, 12:17:26 PM
The Aristides at Churchill 5/30, R10, will be the Thoro-Graph race of the week. Coincidentally, it\'s also the HANA race of the week. The ROTW will be up later in the afternoon.

I like the 3 and 5 but leaning toward the 3 for the win bet due to the odds but I will play both in exotics.  Let\'s see if I\'m close to your picks.

Vicarian - tops are isolated, but the negative figure was with Borel up. trouble last. saves the ground here from the back. looking for a 1w run in the 0 to negative 1 range.

Cassoulet - showed good speed last then gave it up late. nice spacing. should be 1w. only needs to improve a length or two to hit the ticket at long odds.

Garifine - ugly pattern, but the top looks interesting at 12-1. should get a decent trip from the 4 hole.

Sok Sok - not all that enticing at 4-1, but you have to excuse the 7f slop try last. dangerous from off the pace.

Key Vic and Cass, use the other two defensively.

Bold Start looks good in this spot. The race shape should not include the turf start in the average. If you use the last 3 dirt starts he gets a 22.40. That puts him in third off the two speeds which should hook up. He gets first run on the dueling leaders.

I have to use Bold Start with the 3 horses in the ROTW.

bold Start is certainly a user...but my top choice is Premium Wine who I expect to run at least a \"1\"...and a NY horse arriving in KY for Asmussen\'s first race with him.
