Title: Met Mile
Post by: MonmouthGuy on May 20, 2009, 12:41:34 PM
Weights for Met Mile are in.  This shapes up as a fascinating betting race from my perspective.

Mr. Fantasy was assigned 109 lbs and would be getting 12 lbs from Commentator if he runs.  I haven\'t seen a list of probable starters yet.

How many of the top jocks can make 109? Can Migliore? Cov? Any insight here?

Just read that Commentator won\'t be running. Supposedly Zito is looking for a softer prep for the Whitney at Saratoga on 8/3.

I agree though. Great betting race.

West Point is trying to get Bejarano who can tack 109.  He may not be able to get off his mounts at Hollywood though.

If Raffy can\'t make it,Luzzi can do 112 and supossedly so can Johnny V but I have my doubts about that one.

Those are the 3 they are going after.

Awesome race.  Race shapes will be critical in this one.

Actually, new DRF article says race could draw as many as 15!

Although it would be more appealing with a bad favorite in Commentator at 4/5, it still should be a good betting race.

Looking forward to the discussion of this race on the board.
