A filly scares the owner of an undefeated colt from entering the Preakness. That is too bad that Barry is ducking the filly, as Hull would have been an interesting play in the Preakness. The pace did look tough, but the colt is fast and seems to be bred to handle the distance (I would be happy to be corrected by the breeding experts on the board). The fact they are pointing him to another 7 furlong sprint doesn\'t make a lot of sense unless they have trepidations about the distance. I would have though that if they thought they had a horse that would route, they would have at least done the Dwyer at 1 1/16 miles, albeit around one turn.
