Looks like the forecast for Louisville is worsening: (From the NWS Friday 7:29 am update)
\"Main focus of the extended forecast is on Saturday through Sunday
night as the potential for heavy rainfall appears to be increasing\".
\"By late afternoon/early evening Saturday expect
increasing chances for precipitation and heavy rainfall\".
\"Expect heavy rainfall from Saturday
evening through Sunday with a decrease in rainfall intensity
possible by Sunday afternoon\"... \"HPC guidance is forecasting roughly 3
to 4 inches of rainfall Saturday through Sunday night\".
Essentially, this forecast is much worse that the one only only 12 hours ago.
The only question is when the heavy rains start (at this point they are estimating \"late afternoon\").

Track heavy, disgusting, first 3 races on Friday, all routes, going in very slow raw times, like 10 lenghts slower than expected.
Hopefully track will be somewhat better tomorrrow or you can expect tons of X\'S all day.
Now the two sprints(races 4&5) went pretty fast, go figure.
Mike
There was no pace in race 1.
Mike,
:26, :51 fractions in the 1st. Final 5/16 went in :30.
I think the 3rd just had a lot of slow horses.
Winner of the first was one of mine, I didn\'t know what to make of the New Mexico race either.
Mike D,
Good point on the slow rats in the third, sun out, tractors all over the joint.Tough to get a real handle on the surface.
Mike
Come on, tracks don\'t change speed because of water content. Ask Friedman and Ragozin.
Any update on the sixth on the turf?
57 and change, faster than I thought it would go, but just a little slower than normal
This could be a weekend where the differences between us and Rags are huge.
Who won?
Geesh, Borel is one gutsy SOB, eh?
TGJB, this could be the defining weekend TG vs others
Both tracks now \"good\"
Someday you just need to stop talking about him. That will mark the day he\'s not relevant anymore.
I could give you a long answer to that, but I\'m not the one who makes him relevant. Certainly he is less so than he used to be.
Might be a little wet but not massively wet. This has been a hit or miss with (knock on wood) mostly a miss over the last day.
Going to be cool and cloudy however for sure
The OTB channel has the track superintendent Butch Lehr on right now. He says it\'s sloppy now but the rain has stopped & it won\'t rain until after the races are over & he believes they will have the track fast by the Derby.
