Title: KEE Stat
Post by: NoCarolinaTony on April 03, 2009, 10:04:28 AM
Just picked up on something that might be worth throwing out to you\'ens.

Since the Polytrack Era, Kee Spring 2yo races have run 18 races. Of those Races, 17 winners out of the 18 had worked over the KEE Surface at least once prior to their first race at KEE. In todays second race their are only 4 of them.

FWIW.

Did you really pick up that stat or just read it on the Keeneland website?

Also, there have been 19 2yo 4.5f MSW includings today\'s, won by Ward.  Here\'s how they breakdown:
Pletcher/Johnny V  -- 5
Ward/3 diff. jocks -- 5
Assmussen          -- 5
Werner            --  2
Romans            --  1
can\'t remember      1

That\'s 15/19 over the last two years have been won by Pletcher, Ward, or Assmussen.  If they don\'t have a horse in one of those races (fat chance) then you play Werner.

A couple of spots at Keeneland where Pletcher is a potential play against.

Synthetic to turf in 2 years he is 0 for 6;
Turf to Synthetic in 2 years he is 11%, 2 for 19 both wins were routes;
1st time Turf he is 0 for 4, all routes.

To be respected, but not feared once you\'re away from the baby races.

If you know stats, you can use a sample set  size of 10 and have it be accepted as being considered representative, however, statistically 30 is usually considered significant.
