The only thing I will say right now is that the guy who bought half of Rachel in November did so on my recommendation. More to follow, probably in detail, depending on how some things go over the next week or so.

If you know Lauffer you know what the holdup is. I will be speaking to this when the time is right. One thing you can take to the bank is that the facts are not in question, no matter what you have heard-- phone records, emails, witnesses (plural).

So did you work with Ron or Mike?  All this over a commission check huh? And this is all in writting I am sure.  RA is an amazing horse so lets keep this side stuff off the message boards.

Ahem. I\'m not the one creating a problem over a check. And it\'s a big one.

The answer to your question is, both of them. And I have plenty in writing.

As for keeping it off boards, you were the one who got into names and details. I was keeping it quiet until it gets to court, which required biting my tongue until it bleeds. Someone was really, really naughty, in a business where reputation is very important. Mine\'s pretty good.

I will guarantee you don\'t know the real story, even if you are who I think you are. Send me a private message or an email if you want to continue this off the board.

I NEVER used last names, you did.  I hope it all gets figured out in private.

Iron - no need to apologize.  I am not here to start problems.  I had been notified of these \"comments\" from another board and felt it was time to step in.  Let me say that I do not know Jerry, but I am a fan of his product.  All I ask is that the suggestive comments about things not related to racing stop.  Perception can become realitiy.  I am a fan of both the ownership (I know one of the partners well and is a great honest guy, do not know the other one) and the extremely talented filly.  Lets, for once, just enjoy greatness.  Also, I am not hiding behind a user ID, I PM\'ed Jerry to tell him who I was and why I cared.  Although, I wanted to say these things publicly.  Go Baby Go.

Rootdog,

Can I ask a question?  I have heard that there was a substantial private deal in place last year for one of the big partnership groups to buy the filly but that she vetted with an ankle chip and the deal fell apart and that the owner gave her time and she came back a monster after the surgery and time off.

Is this true?  If it is, what a great story.

Thanks

My opinion only!  Never heard of that one.  Two deals I know of, and one they fell apart due to issues unrelated to the filly (private partners) and one due to the fact they were not sold on pedigree (large well known organization).

thanks so much.

not sold on pedigree?  wow, they must have been looking at a different page than I am. I love her bottom side.

thanks again, she\'s a special filly and I hope she stays together.  We need more like her.

I cant comment on how sound she is...all I can say is they are confident.  Period.  I love the pedigree and I love the way she moves.  Despite that, With the kind of coin they are talking about...it is easy to find reason.  Not throwing stones...hell I am not sure I would of had the balls.  Can I say balls?

sure you can say that.  Jerry\'s rules are that you have to be making a valid point about racing, figures and/or handicapping and if you can\'t do that, say something funny so this qualifies!

thanks again

Thanks.  Funny I can do, the rest I am uncertain.  Are you by chance with a large organization...say with a 4 letter name?  If so, that is not the large organization I was speakin of.
