Title: cowards way out

sorry to see you took the cowards way out.  the athenia is a one horse race.  the qe on the other hand has great value if the puzzle can be solved.  I spent the 25bucks to buy the sheets. don\'t think for a second I was trying to save chump change by having you analyze the race without having to fork up 25.
No doubt you have great product but the pr side of the busines could improve

Danny:

Not sure I agree. Criminologist appears to be tailing off late in her 5yo campaign. Perhaps it\'s been the soft ground, but at 6-5 I\'m willing to bet it\'s a combination of several things.

I\'m looking for a huge break-out effort from the 4yo Gambolatti filly.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Anyone else have Wheels up at Noon in the Cliff Hanger at the Meadowlands Friday Night.  I LOVED the horse off the sheets...but his tactical speed figured to get him a great trip on a weird turf course that seems to favor horses that are up close.  He checked briefly on the turn, found room late and just couldnt get by Kiss the Kid at 6-1.  This horse is getting better and better...really developing nice.

Doing the online Meadowlands surviver-challenge.com contest -  I went with Ballonenostrikes , also the 7th had a 53 second 4 f call , how crazy is that  ?

Danny,

I know the connections of Backseat Rythm like their horse. Off the 8 weeks spacing, I\'d guess you might be concerned with your filly being too fresh early and her conditioning.A very good race and Kee turf is a bit quirky, some don\'t handle it as well as other courses.Listed as firm the last 2 days, the raw times are on the slow side(minus 80, 4 lenghts slow) and all styles winning.

Good luck!

Mike

I like Ariege here. gets the 1 hole in a race with little pace. breaks well, and has some tactical speed. has \'2.5\' runs over the SA cushion and Kee poly, and runs in the \'5\' range over yielding turf last two. looking for something in the middle here over the firm Kee course.

Yeah, that\'s me.

I couldn\'t see anything interesting (from a TG handicapping point of view) in any of the big races this week, so I didn\'t do one for TVG, and turned it over to Alan. he picked the race he liked.

Meanwhile, on Storm Mesa-- she would have been better off in the FM BC sprint than in this race. Why you guys keep running her 2 turns on grass when her top (by a lot) is sprinting on dirt is beyond me. See? You saved management commissions.

JB,
....good thing the advice is for free. That horse can\'t stand up on synths judging by her first two races.Guess you feel she\'s a new horse now.

thanks jerry,  the breeders failed to pay the $500 to make her bc eligible.  Bret still thinks she\'s better going 2 turns though her best number was dirt sprinting.  after this race she\'ll get some time and we\'ll start anew next year

thanks again

A) You mean the two races before Calhoun got her?

B) Are you sure Pro-Ride plays like the other synthetics?

C) see A). Look at trainer profiles.

Great Call Jerry.

Slowed the fractions, had plenty left.  Rings the bell at 23-1. What a fantastic analysis,  congrats.

And for good measure, Alan hit the 11-1 shot in the QE II too, put them both up in the analysis. I got your coward right here.

Right, Calhoun is drugging her, thats your explanation? Does NOT matter who the trainer is if a horse cannot handle a particular surface.

That\'s correct-- IF your assumption is right. If what happened is that she became a new horse, she might or might not be able to handle that surface now-- let alone a DIFFERENT surface, Pro-Ride.

That was a great example of what the ROTW is all about.  Lots of good stuff on pattern reading in there.
