does anyone know when George Arnold took this horse over and from who?
Stream Cat won the Kentucky Cup Juvenile (gr. III) in 2005 and returned last year to finish third in the Classic behind Hard Spun and Street Sense. He won the Arlington Handicap (gr. IIIT) two starts back and was sixth, beaten just 4 1/2 lengths, last time out in the Arlington Million (gr. IT).
Trained by Patrick Biancone before those starts, Stream Cat came to Arnold's barn in May from co-owner Fabien Ouaki's Fab Oak Farm, where he had been turned out since October 2007.
"He's doing great," Arnold said. "He likes the Polytrack and has run well at Turfway, so we're expecting a big race from him."
Stream Cat will ship to Turfway on race day with stablemate Devil House, who is expected for the Distaff.
Forgot to credit the Blood Horse for the above.
I always liked this horse. I vividly remember his run in a stakes at Keeneland as a two year old. He closed well (enough to catch the eye) against an extreme speed bias. I played him in the BC Juvey in \'05 and was snickering when he went off at 30-1 (or so). Things didn\'t work out that day but I\'ve cashed on him several times since. Can\'t play him today though
P. Biancone had the horse until Oct 7 of \'07 at Kee, then the horse went to Francois Parisel for one out at Kee on Oct 27 of \'07.
Arnold has had him for 2 outs, both at AP and both on the turf. Last out was a Grade 3 on the turf at AP.
Shows multiple works between the timie Parisel had him and he reappeared under Arnold\'s care, so it would unknown how long Arnold has had him.
