Title: Coated Dirt
Post by: Silver Charm on September 22, 2008, 05:47:03 PM
When somebody says the Synthetic surface at SA is 87% dirt with the rest coated fibers to make things safer and softer the only thing you can say is \"I sure hope it works because it sounds good\".

Sure hard for me to believe that a surface this natural sounding would produce racing that much different from regular dirt racing. Or be that radically different for tradional dirt runners like Curlin. Maybe it isn\'t but it moves others up and that is not such a bad thing either. As in more good horses.

I am going into the Oak Tree Meet with an open mind and thinking the BC could really be a good one. Weather never a factor in Calif.
