I\'m surprised no one has had much to say about the game performance by Proud Spell to win a very exciting edition of the Alabama. Very consistent, good, and game little filly.

These are the kind of races that made me fall in love with horse racing in the first place..What a filly crop this was..These days you don\'t see many races where the two best of their division match up before the Breeders\' cup..
Other matchups I would like to see on conventional dirt include..
-Ginger Punch, HysericalLady and Zenyatta @ 1 1/8 miles
-Big Brown Vs. Curlin @ 1 1/8. I know Big Brown is a three yr old but he has no peer is his division and Curlin has no peer in his division so give Big BRown 5 pounds and let\'s do it.
-IndyAnne Vs. Indian Blessing, and maybe Storm Mesa @ 6 1/2 Furlongs
I\'m sure there are more but these are the ones that come to mind right away..

I was unfamilar with IndyAnne until I looked at the PPs for the Victory Ride on Saturday. Now I know what you were talking about. Looks a lot like the female version of Lost in the Fog. She hasn\'t beat much yet, but she\'s been darn impressive doing it.
