Title: Aquetoga
Post by: richiebee on August 03, 2008, 07:49:54 AM
Featuring an 11 race card with 5 maiden races, 4 maiden races in the first 6
races of the day. Plus 3 claiming races.

On the other hand, the Fourstardave seems to be a very competitive event.

At Monmouth, the Iavarone Exudes Amazing Hypocrisy Stable star continues his
campaign to become the most overhyped 3YO of all time. I hope he wins by a pole
at 1/9, creating a huge minus show pool to add to the appearance money Club
Kulina paid to the connections of this colt. Business as usual at the bore by
the Shore. And to show that nothing suceeds like excess, Monmouth will run 14
races today.

Nobody has mentioned the BC steroid sanctions, which seem to have some teeth to
them; wouldn\'t be surprised if Tricky is one of the first to be bitten.

Oh well, there\'s always Monday at Saratoga. 5 maiden races on a 10 race card.
And with the new \"full field/route of ground\" incentive, there is a maiden
race with a purse of $78K.

I don\'t mind the maiden races Richie, as long as we are watching top class horses. some of the state bred and turf sprints are tough to take though.

the Fourstardave is a great race. five or six of these could win this. probably reaching a bit, but I like Stalingrad at a price. at 113 lbs, the Bel 1 1/16 figure is competitive. son of Glitterman bounced last on short rest going longer than he wanted. Hushion/Hill combo $2.86 ROI.

BRUTAL

Had him going in the Pick Three and he looked gone then he wobbled after switching leads and could not finish.

Red Giant looked good from the 1 hole with the \'1.75\' going 9f. I hit this one pretty good.

but yes, a tough beat on the win end.

I\'ll red board here, just for kicks.

Looks like JV was the \'hidden\' , in the know , mens room attendant, angle play.

  Fourstar Dave = Leo Obrien

JV= Married to Leos daughter (everyone knows this, I assume he still is)

Gotta keep it in the family somehow.

Tough beat on the win end.

Johnny V. bulled his way out tossing Thorn Song aside. If he doesn\'t get out, it\'s Christmas in August for many of us here. The exacta wasn\'t half bad though.

Nice call, Mike. Thanks

FYI: Same combo (Schwartz, Hushion, Hill) may have the upper hand with Nedjma next weekend in the Yaddo.

Good Luck,
Joe B.
