Any ideas on what and when?

Looks like you have a few choices.

TGJB,

Mast Track - can you please elaborate on WHY Frankel and a group of California trainers are down for the year?

You\'ve always been up front with us, so please don\'t \"pull any punches\" on this one.

I\'ve commented before here about California, no further comment. From a handicapping standpoint, the specific why doesn\'t matter.

Take a look at Art Sherman\'s last 4 years (\"overall\" in the trainer profile) and last 90 days.

I have to admit, I haven\'t payed much attention lately to Student Council.  Are you still involved with the horse?  If so, why use such a blatant cheater as Asmussen?  have you given up the fight?

I have had it with you all bad  mouthing trainers. What makes Asmussen or Dutrow Cheaters? Do they give the horses something that is illegal that you can not test for?
Asmussen has stables of horses all over the country. He is bound to make a mistake with legal therapeutic drugs. Each state has different medication rules.
If you all think cheating is rampant in horse racing stop betting.
A lot of you made money in the  Suburban today. Was the winner juiced by Dutrow.

What makes the cheaters?  Ummm, I don\'t know...combined 2,451 positives maybe?

Just because you think people cheat doesn\'t mean you can\'t win.  I\'d still like to see the game cleaned up.  It is a sad part of the game that every time a bettor complains about something it is attributed to losing at the windows.  It can\'t possibly be that the sport is fukked up right now, can it?

The excuse that they have stables all over the country only flies for a positive or two, maybe three.  Not 15 or 30 or 77.  Is someone holding a gun to their heads and making them take 120 or 200 horses?  If they can\'t watch their affairs and make sure they can follow the rules with that many horses, then they cut back in their horses.  If it\'s one of the assistants\' faults, why haven\'t we ever seen their heads roll?  Ever recall one of them fired for their mistake?

Another thing, Asmussen\'s positive was for a very powerful blocker.  Even if Asmussen wasn\'t trying to have the horse run through an injury by blocking the pain, why the hell was a horse running who received such a medicine such a short time ago that it could still be in his system?

Black,

....until the Texas good old boys GIVE UP the info on quantity,I think judgement should be reserved. Remember, it\'s very popular for race tracks to be suddenly vigilant. These empty suits are the same people who turned a blind eye to the drug thing, which has been going on for years.Again, if it\'s a nano/trace(or less) they can shove it! If legit, he should pay the big price.

Naive...it\'s the only word I can use for people who don\'t think these 30 percent trainers aren\'t using something.  The sheets are a perfect way to show it too...You can\'t tell me that the dutrows and asmussens can take horses that consistently run 15\'s and make them run 8\'s because they are just good horsemen...Allan Jerkens is a good horseman and he doesn\'t claim bunches of horses and get them to consistently run dramatically faster..If they are not using something...how else can you explain it???

Maybe they have better stock & run a lot more horses.  They have more chances to win races that way.

I do not think they would risk a multi million dollar operation using something illegal to make the horses run faster.

I\'m sure they use the existing medication rules as far as they can take them. If I was training I would look for any edge I can get as long as it was with in the rules that are in place today.
