The drf site has a fairly lenthy article about Rick\'s triumph not only in the contest, but also in how he has overcome life a threatening medical condition along the way. The kind of piece that puts things in their proper perspective at this time of the yr. Hats off to Rick.

In terms of upcoming contests, I was advised by an avid sheets reader from the Bay area that in conjunction with the Great State Challenge, on 12/7 NTYRA is conducting a free online contest in which the top 4 finishers go the finals. The 6 races involved will all take place at Sam Houston that day.

There is also a $100 per entry, 3 entries max, contest at Kee on 12/7, but I just learned that it will involve all 9 tracks which are being simulcast that day. The 6 mandatory races will not be available until noon on 12/6, and contestants are free to select any other 6 races from the tracks being simulcast. Any ideas on logistics from the TG office would be greatly appreciated.

Since the mandatory races won\'t be known until the day before, we could only send hard copy to arrive day of, Saturday, and package might not arrive until noon. Also, that doesn\'t account for the 6 optional
races. Frankly the easiest and quickest thing to do is download off our website.

AB: It\'s not the time downloading but the time printing which concerns me. I was thinking maybe I could get 1 or 2 simulcast books which would cover all 9 tracks. I\'ll call to discuss options.
