Only the legals ones though.
\"I give all my horses Winstrol on the 15th of every month,\"

This is really no shock based on the way he moves his horses up. It\'s impossible to know who is giving what to their horses, but Dutrow\'s \"move ups\" typically come after he lays them off for a couple of months and works with them for awhile. To me that always seemed like a combination horsemanship and steroids because he rarely turns a horse around after a week or two. I said that here a few years ago and this reinforces my opinion. Plus as we see from Eight Belles, not eveyone uses steroids to the same degree.
Of course he may be doing other things too.
Does anyone think that BB\'s accomplishments will be diminished in the public\'s eye if he goes on to win today and again at Belmont in light of steriod use?
(maybe we should stop using BB as a shortcut because someone might confuse him with Barry Bonds) ;-)
Well, if it really gets that much coverage then the \"general public\" will probably learn what a high percentage of the horses Big Brown has been facing also have taken steroids in their racing careers. So, I don\'t think it will be a big deal unless (and please don\'t let this happen) the horse gets hurt today.
Dutrow just said that its fine by him if NY bans steroids. He said it \'wont bother him\'
Just curious...if it won\'t bother him, why not stop right now? Why give a horse a substance that\'s banned in many states and banned for human atlhetic use if it has no benefits?
WHy not be the good guy and come out and say i\'m stopping steroids cold turkey, none of my horses will be getting it anymore?
You can\'t say it won\'t bother you if you keep using it. Actions speak louder than words. Stop giving your horses this stuff on every 15th of the month and we\'ll believe you when you say it won\'t matter to your barn if they ban it.
imo - he might have tipped his hand in the interview by saying that one extra thing that he probably didn\'t need too when saying he didn\'t know what winstrol does ...

Because then the other trainers would have an edge. I think he meant that if the other trainers had to give up the edge also becuase of a ban he would do okay on a level playing field..
He actually cleared that up for us. It helps make their coats shinny...lol! I wish I was making it up
