Title: CA horses and the Cushion Figures
Post by: fkach on May 01, 2008, 04:41:19 PM
I spent the last few hours examining the full PPs of all the CA horses that ran in major preps out there starting with the Grade 1 CSHCLFT on Dec 22, right through the later ones. The more I looked, the more horses I found that convinced me that the CA crop is WAY better than many people believe.

Someone else mentioned that a week or so ago and then the conversation veered off into how some of the bigger name horses ran better figures when they shipped to dirt, how we could explain that, what styles might improve more etc...

I\'m starting to think that was a very good crop out there and their ability is being masked by running in those slow paced Cushion races. What I am going to do with that info is still beyond me, but I have a stronger opinion on the horses now.

kfach,
It\'s very likely they move up.  Question is how much?  I\'m testing the theory I put forth in the room back on April 20th.
