Title: Sheets..Suggestion
Post by: Lost Cause on April 16, 2008, 02:27:15 PM
Is it possible to place anywhere on the sheets a horse\'s last few numbers at the exact same distance and surface it is running at today?
Something like the last five races a horse has run at 1 mile on turf listed in a corner somewhere if the race was at 1 mile on turf today.  It helps to cut through numbers that really don\'t apply at the other distances the horse has previously run..

Thanks

Don\'t accept the premise, don\'t have room.

I understand the \"don\'t have room\" part of it but it really does help when going through a horse\'s sheets if you have a quick snapshot of a horse\'s performance at the exact same distance it is running today.  A horse will run a five at 6F and run an empty 9 at 7F, If he\'s running a 6f sprint today I want to be able to quickly see that he runs the better numbers at 6F.  Right now they are grouped together as sprint races (unbolded typeface).  Same applies for route racing distances..
Regarding the space issue, how about maybe an indicator next to the number on the sheet, such as an asterisk (5*) or some other indicator.  If it was a race that the form did not address because it was too far back at least looking a the sheets I would know that race was run at today\'s distance even if I did not have the form\'s running line to confirm that.
