Title: GEORGIE BOY OUT OF THE SANTA ANITA DERBY
Post by: jbelfior on April 01, 2008, 11:11:29 AM
Has a pulled back muscle. This has been a common type of injury with horses training and or racing too long over synthethic tracks.

Makes one wonder about the 3yos coming out of the Santa Anita preps.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Seems to me that all those poly tracks have taken the west coast right out of the derby prep picture. The polytracks have taken the buzz right out of any west coast horse, another consequence of synthetics. It can\'t bode well for any breeders cup buzz. In other words, who the hell would bet a west coast nag in the derby making his first start on dirt?
