does anybody have bc tickets, or know where to obtain them? and does anyone from the \"land of lincoln\" know of the state\'s policy towards brokers. thank you.
also, alan, just out of curiousity, i was wondering why dreamers glory should be played to react in rotw? granted, her line is kind of flat even if two poor performances this year are excused due to pace and st.
Is your reluctance based on the 2yo top coming in a sprint, the top coming on (i think) first time lasix, or that she couldn\'t get back to the top after seven races. (i\'m guessing the latter reason).
just curious. i thought she might run a 7, an established level, and hit the board at 15-1, but bedanken and guana look best. thank you

Didn\'t see this until about post time.
Now it\'s after the fact so it\'s easy to comment.
Dreamers Glory showed precocity and talent on dirt, it just so happens sprinting. But her failure to get back to her top figure this year was and is not a good sign. She got within 2 points of her top once this year, moved back slightly twice, then threw in a stinker at Monmouth. She\'s moving backward at a time when she should be improving.
After some rest Orseno tried her on turf and she ran credibly, 2 points or so off her 3yo best. She moved forward in her 2nd turf start almost back to her 3yo dirt top. But remember she struggled at a slightly faster level earlier in the year and that was a regression off her 2yo best. In general horses rarely run equally as well on both turf and dirt. We already knew that Dreamers Glory was very fast on dirt. And there\'s nothing about her pedigree to suggest she would be better on turf. Nor did her turf efforts, okay as they may be, disprove that impression. She did not show a freakish affinity to the green.
So she enters this turf race off an effort just about at the level she struggled with earlier in the year facing Grade 3 runners that, unlike her, show a marked preference for turf.
Tough to think she\'d run well against these. She got beat about 7-1/2 lengths.
thank you brent
thank you alan
thank you CDSN...couple hundred bucks won\'t even get you to the paddock
i have another question, although it doesn\'t have to do with sheet reading. has anyone ever tried to determine a horse\'s preference to run in cold weather.
i know people always make reference to non-humid and cooler conditions favoring euros when the BC is held at SA or GP.
and in nyc, there are horses who do well on the inner track at aqu. but people seem to always assume its a preference for the winterized track and not the weather.
is there anybody out there, maybe playing Woodbine or even HAW and SPT, i can\'t remember which, that has seen any reason to suspect a horse may or may not enjoy 30 degree weather? (or for that matter, harness guys, which i think have the temp in the past performances typically).
by the way, judging from the ap website, post position is going to be a pretty big consideration in a lot of races given the configuration of the oval.
