Title: AQU 3rd on March 20
Post by: randy_yu on March 20, 2008, 10:15:52 PM
Did anyone see the 3rd race from Aqueduct on March 20?  For no apparent reason, on the far turn Charles Lopez riding the even money favorite Half a Note stood up on the horse for at least a second.  Half a Note lost by a neck.  The other favorite in the race, Smoke'n Review, broke slowly from the gate and finished 5th.  Maybe it\'s just my imagination; but the race looks very suspicious to me.

Chuckie Lopez is a hell of a lot smarter jockey than you think if you think he would stiff a horse for all to see.

Something happened with his equipment or with the horse...let it go.

Just watched the replay several times. Chuckie checked and checked hard. His mount was beginning to run up on the heels of the gray to his outside. Just got tight is all.

If you wanna see the biggest cheater/stiff artist of all time (just my opinion) - watch Roberto Gonzales at Bay Meadows and Golden Gate. He stiffs at least three per week. I NEVER bet him unless he\'s in a big money race race when there\'s a lot of eyes on him. Get him on a Thursday afternoon in a $6,250 claimer? Pah-Leeeze!

Anyone remember jock Roger Danjean and a trainer named Kenneth Kemp.

We\'re way beyond the statute of limitations here.

  Hialeah, dunno, late 70\'s .

Horse of theirs in the first. 10 running lines, every single call a double digit.  10 by 12, 12 by 20, you get it. Roger on this thing every time.

Money shows big time in the doubles and win late.

horse wires the field at 20-1.

Ahhh, the good old days.  Now they do the same thing and get 9/5.
