Title: Frost Dwarf
Post by: Silver Charm on March 16, 2008, 11:45:57 AM
Yesterdaus race was a classic example of experience and seasoning counting for something.

TGAB could have been like any number of election networks back on 2000 where if they only had not called Florida for Gore they have been geniuses or at the very least not biased.

He came real close in his analysis but in the end maybe the hype got to him instead of his gut read.

Which is one of the best

$30 horse from Toner about 2 to 3 points slower than the fast ones but sitting on go with a decent pattern. Ah, but the ROTW was a M&M job--merely mortal. This mere mortality is an affliction some catch, some don\'t, and like herpes for instance, it can flare up and affect one\'s acuity. I try to rise above it, keep it under check but am not always able to.

Not sure you need to apoligize to anyone. As a Matter of Fact I KNOW you don\'t.

Your reputation as one of the best Sheet readers in the business is well documented. Hence the reason your turnouts for the Saratoga Seminars are some of the largest of the meet.

I think all of the experts who touted Frost Dwarf probably deserve a bit of a pass. Simply because I believe they are smart enough to not play the horse at even money.

One could tell from your Summary Analysis your gut read was telling you to stay away from this horse. But the mythical morning line of 6-1 and the landslide public opinion did confuse things.

\"As in what do they know that I don\'t know\"? A death trap at the race track if there ever was one.

Just curious regarding an early read on the Wood. Has there ever been a more aptly named 6-5 shot than War Pass?

The Wood is going to be a very interesting race.

At 3-1 or 7-2 will the bettor forgive War Pass?

At 7-5 will the handicapper toss him from the exotics?

I hope War Pass blows open the Wood (at whatever odds) in a performance which
takes even Nick Almighty by surprise....

...and goes to the Derby as a huge \"bet against\" at a short price.

Q? Is there anywhere to view the Graded Earnings as of this date? Where does
the Tagg Team (Tale of Ekati and Elysium Fields) stand?

I couldn\'t agree more, however, I don\'t see it happening. I get the feeling that the party is over for him, most likely won\'t even make the derby.

Richie -

This is the best graded earnings list I\'ve found:

Tale of Ekati seems fine.  Elysium Fields needs a check in the Florida Derby.

Something to note about this horse is he absolutely came apart at the seams in the Saddling and Post Parade.  If Dutrow can get him to relax maybe you will see the horse some people saw in the PP\'s/Sheets.

And maybe we get to see him 6-1 not 6-5

And without half the free world touting him to boot

NTRA.Com and KentuckyDerby.com usually have that sort of stuff Richie....

Hey I need to call you sometime to set up a visit to the old stomping grounds on Rose Hill(need some divine inspiration), maybe some AQU outter and perhaps a round o golf....
