Post by: BenevolentDictator on February 06, 2008, 03:08:28 PM
Anyone had problems with Youbet.  Tbe stock is in the tank. I got a bit of a problem with them. I can\'t believe what they are doing in my case.

I also had problems with Youbet and have not made a wager with them since August 25, 2007.  You may recall August 25 was Travers day and Youbet had some big time technical difficulties that caused me money.  They refused to reimburse me and I stop using them.

I had big time problems with Capital district OTB website. Bets automatically appeared that I did not bet, increasing the cost of the wager if I completed the wager, not to mention that it was not my bet. I copied the pages and reported them with a manager 3 weeks ago and no one has gotten back to me yet. I am at Twin Spires now, and so far am very happy with the service. But I\'m still cutting and pasting all my wagers anyway so that I have my own record. Twin Spires has a nice summary page of all wagers you make.

Girly,

I would seriously file a complaint with the local authorities (Reasearch who) or even write the DRF about it or Dan Illman or Steve Crist (For their blog).  Beat them at the PR level.  Maybe they\'ll try to correct it to make you go away.

Youbet your heiney they\'re crummy. They double-billed my credit cards one day last year on three individual deposits. It took an ACT OF GOD to get the problem resolved between them and Capital One. I spent days trying to resolve it. They would simply not admit they double billed me. It was awful.

Same here...Four years ago..they suspended my account because they said I owed them $100.00...considering you always have to pay them up front before betting, I asked how is that possible...I faxed bank statements and it took a month to finaly go through their \"customer service\" and work it out and then they tell me I have to pay a 25.00 reactivation fee and they can\'t do anything about the fee...YOUBET I told them to go to hell...

Switched to Winticket which is now TwinSpires...not one problem at all for about four years...

They said last July that they made a extra 100.00 deposit into my account. The tote does weird things they told me.. true story.   I asked for proof of this and all they came up with was a spreadsheet with my bets and deposit(s).  I would have know if they deposited the extra money accidently, and becasue I am a good guy most likely would have told them.  I told them they are cutting off their nose to spite their face.  They have lost many hundreds of dollars if not thousands by me not betting on Youbet.  I just wanted to know if anyone else had similar problems.

How do you fund a twinspires account?

I nixed Youbet when they told me I have to give them 1% for ACH (checking account) deposits - this was 4/5 years ago.  I promptly switched to Brisbet (now Twinspres) and never had an issue with them.

I would like to see Twinspires deposit the rebate (if you can call it that) into your account immediately instead of the current 2-3 business day timetable.

You can do the Credit/Debit...Check/money-order...but the best and most convenient way is ACH (checking account).  If you are a little uneasy about the checking account idea, open up a separate checking account strictly for funding Twinspires.

Disclaimer - NY/CT residents cannot bet with Twinspires for regulatory reasons.

well they were good for a while and it was a nice run for them but it has evidently come full circle for me now too . when checking my emails today upon returning from the west coast there was one giving notification that my membership would be interrupted due to an expiring trail plan , failure to select a membership plan and provide cc info  - which i already previously had done years ago .

as a result of this latest fiasco and being  presently blocked from logging on to my account even cancel my membership , i\'m going to let the account laps and just let them eventually close it - largely due to most the tracks i follow are no longer available .  though imo compared to other peoples horror stories , i really shouldn\'t complain ...
