I am about at the point where I ask Direct TV if they can send me a special
made for TVG remote which has only two buttons-- \"Power\" and \"Mute\". And the
remote would preferably be made of some soft material, so that when I throw the
remote at the screen I will do no real damage.
Matt Carothers is one of the TVG hosts whose knowledge of racing and
handicapping I generally respect, but he made himself look foolish when he
mentioned no fewer than 3 times before the Count Fleet on Saturday that we
should all watch out when trainer Steve Klesaris \"ships\" a horse.
I am not certain whether Mr. Klesaris has horses currently stabled at Gulfstream
or Delaware or Philly Park, but it seems as if the majority of his horses are
stabled at the Fair Hill training facility. That being the case, most (all?) of
Klesaris\' runners (including Roman Emperor, Klesaris\' entry in the Count Fleet)
would be considered \"shippers\".
And Great Caesar\'s ghost (apologies to Perry White, editor in chief of the
Daily Planet), no reaction when I said Saturday morning that I was
\"taking a stab\" at Roman Emperor. This is a tough room.
I think everyone was too busy groaning to type.
