Title: Legacy Thief
Post by: ajkreider on January 05, 2008, 08:50:21 PM
Haven\'t heard much talk about this horse\'s run at GP on Saturday.  His time over the  same 6F (and on a wetter track) was fractionally better than the winner of the Mr. Prospector - and there were some stout horses in there.  Seems pretty impressive for a 3 yr old in January.  A bit odd for Lukas to be running him there, isn\'t it?

Anyone know if the pedigree says to go longer?  Either way, looks to have the talent for big things.

he hadn\'t run a srpint since his first race, Cat Thief ran equally well sprinting and routing - about 17% wins either way - and also was good on off tracks.  If memory serves, he won some big ones in the mud/slop.

as for DWL I think we\'ll be talking more about him this spring than in the last few years...in a positive way.
