Title: GP 10000 Claimers on Grass?
Post by: Frost King on January 02, 2008, 07:49:55 PM
Am I reading the entries right? Races written for dime claimers on the grass? Are they trying to tap into the Tampa population to help fill their cards?

Frost:

I read in DRF that GP\'s new racing secretary was brought down from another
Magna facility -- Thistledown--to help boost field size. This gentleman has
already stated that he will write Florida state bred races to try to attract
Calder horses and fill the fields.

Calling all Sheikhs--please make Frankstro an offer and put us all out of our
misery.

Silver Charm says Gulf/Santa is the best racing season of the year, and I
respect SC\'s opinion, but my votes would be for Saratoga/Del Mar and Fall
Belmont/ Fall Keeneland.

A fish stinks from the head (ie NY Knicks/owner James Dolan). Gulfstream will
IMO never \"be all it can be\" until Magna sells it.

Hey Ritchie,

I ridiculed \"The Visionary\" years ago before the tin can in Hallandale was opened. Michael D and a few others told me to wait. Said they would be there with drink in hand soaking up all of the hoopla and ambiance. A sort of \"You\'ll See, Negative Attitude Asshole\". Well I am still waiting.

But it does look good on TV in between Santa Anita jockey/trainer interviews, Kristina Olivares/Millie Ball showings on HRTV and after my eyes have refocused, like someone turned a bright light on in the middle of the night, from the glow off Jeff Siegels head.

Mr. Visionary do us all a favor and sell like Gordon Gecko did when he realized he was used up as his kid was playing with toys at his feet. Punch your advisors out and head directly to jail later.

The winter/spring racing is \"much the best\" because there is hope. There are far more horses on the way up than on the way down as is the case in the fall. The entire 3YO crop is hitting the track and giving you that \"who knows what we might see next\" blood flow. Four weeks away from Donn Day and you who broke his maiden as a first time starter on that day a year ago.

Curlin....................
