You won\'t believe this, but after all my waiting and anticipation I have encountered serious problems with the new on line wagering service. When I go to place a wager and am picking horses, other random numbers get mysteriously filled in automatically, changing the bet and I have to delete them. I\'ve never seen any thing like it. This has happened repeatedly!! I e-mailed them, but in the meantime am very leery of using the service. Is there an on line service that is dependable and secure?
I encountered a different problem yesterday. I went on line to see my account balance after the phone was slow in crediting my account for a race that was official. The right amount was in my account so I just clicked it off. When I went on the phone-touchtone wagering, it wasn\'t accepting my account and pin #. Upon calling customer service I was told if you go on line & don\'t log out properly, it freezes your account if you try to phone in a bet for about 10-15 minutes.
I myself live in Saratoga and use Capital OTB for wagers. Haven\'t used their online services. I only use the phone a bet system. I\'ve used YouBet in the past, pretty good site
I\'ve been using the Capital OTB online account wagering system multiple times this past week with no issues at all. Sorry your having problems. I also have an NYRA Rewards account-NYRA has been offering online wagering since the Saratoga meet. Both systems are very similar. Haven\'t had problems with either. Both offer track odds regardless of your balance. Hang in there Girly. Give the Capital OTB online wagering another shot.
Hey Girly,
Have you tried TwinSpires.com. They are actually pretty good. You can get free past performance data from them as long as you place a wager on that track through their system. You also get to join in their rebate program, if you\'re going to bet anyway might as well get a little extra for it. They also announced that they have worked out their issues with the NYRA and will be taking wagers from NYRA tracks again beginning Jan 1st. One of their best features is EZ Money deposit. It takes a few days to setup but once it\'s setup you can deposit and withdraw from your Twin Spires account direct from your checking account. If you\'re stuck at home and want to place a bet you can just deposit the money right through the online system. The deposited amount is credited to you Twin spires account instantaneously and the money comes out of your checking account the next business day. They don\'t check your account to see if the funds are available and wait for it to clear they just credit your account. Give it a shot. I also believe they are giving a $100 sign up bonus.

Are you implying that a solid solvent citizen such as Girly would ever need to
take advantage of an overnight \"float\" of funds?
Does Twin Spires allow you to bet $.10 supers and $.50 Pick 4s?
Still no viable way to get live FG feed here in Living Room Downs, so will end
the year with a maiden voyage to the newly opened NJ OTB facility in nearby
Fords, NJ.
Best New Years wishes to all TG posters, lurkers and of course our hosts over
on Varick Street, and do not forget to wish your favorite thoroughbred a happy
birthday tomorrow.
Richiebee,
it nay not be as much fun, but you can watch live odds board either on Brisnet.com or Fairgrounds.com. You can see replays within min or two once official on Race Replays.com or something like it.
Why do you need a TV?( inow its more enjoyable to view).
NC Tony
Anything that the tracks offer...ie....50 cent P4, .50 cent Tri, .10 cent Super, Super High five (which is a fun bet by the way), twin spires gives you them all along with the live video from each track. I can\'t tell you how annoying it is to watch the NYCOTB channel, They will switch from a race in progress to the post parade at another track and never switch back or show you who won..With the twinspires account you choose what you want to see and switch if you want to switch.....
Model citizen Girly might not take advantage of an overnight \"float\" of funds but alter ego Gambler Girly might take over for a moment and take advantage of the float.
NCT:
I got spoiled being able to watch my favorite winter race place (FG) on TVG.
The last time I tried to uplink my computer to my TV set the power for half of
my neighborhood went out.
CDSN got greedy and pulled their products from TVG. I think NYRA\'s recent
announcement of a policy of non exclusivity is better for racing in the long
run. Put the product out there without limiting access.
If the brain surgeons in Albany don\'t pull the plug, I\'ll get you a calendar
tomorrow.
Happy New Year, paisan, and best of luck in Vegas. I\'ll take a man educated by
the Jesuits over a sandwich slinger any day of the week.
OMG you make me laugh! I have made a decision to wait and see if I get a response from COTB to my email and try again since others have had no problem. In the meantime apply to another service- I like the idea of going through checking rather than doing withdrawals by mail like NYRA. Thank you for defending my honor Richiebee! -Although I actually do have an alter ego who sings Blues/jazz in clubs/events for fun. I know, TMI, but I was laughing because my co-workers say that about me- they get tickled that this MA level psychologist gets a party going when singing with the band! I am no big time gambler, but it sure would be nice to do have access without going to the OTBs- Happy and prosperous New Year all! Special thanks to Thorograph for the end of year present and sweet picture of the horse on the web page-
