Title: 2yo Pair of "Tops"
Post by: firmturf on October 15, 2007, 08:07:59 PM
In this weeks ROTW it was mentioned for the selection that \"2yo that pairs up tops is often ready for a forward move\"

I am curious if there is a specific time frame where this is more effective?

If a 2yo has done this with time between the \"pair\" or some sort of a layoff, is this one that will not be so likely to move forward?

The pair often yields a new top at any point during a 2yo year-- the more relevant issue is how much development preceded the pair of tops (the more development, the less likely further development). A little extra time is a plus, a suspicious layoff is something else.
