Avoid his charges when his runners sit in the detention barn, which is usually every few months or so, or until the current ban expires and then is reinstated again when the next round of test results comes in.

To be fair to Mr. Sherman, many (most?) of the main trainers (so-called super-trainers or move-up trainers) in Southern California go through a similar revolving door with the detention barn situation -- they\'re in -- they\'re out -- new test results come in -- they\'re in again -- some tracks report that information in their programs sometimes, and sometimes not. He\'s by no means the only one! To answer your original question: He\'s recently established himself firmly in Southern California after much success up North; he is doing very well. One of his best moves is first time starters though for some reason they seldom get bet? I\'ve never met him and don\'t wish him any harm; I\'m not meaning to imply anything negative one way or the other. It\'s just information I share. I\'m sure he loves his kids like everybody else!
