Thank you TG for the $355 SC/AG Exacta. These two had your top numbers while Beyer and Brisnet gave them much lower figures.

Great pic? Might be the slowest race ever run, 2:07 and change. I\'ll give my props to JB, but the bottom line is that, racing is more and more becoming, turtle racing. On paper, that has to be the slowest and worst grade one ever! IMO, a glorified claiming race.

Sun Boat/$40 claimer

Big Booster/$60 claimer

In a nut shell the winner fit this race perfectly, but lets be honest, this is not a grade 1 animal by any stretch of the imagination!

Congrats,JB

This was really an amazing purchase and strategic move.

It wasn\'t too difficult to think Lava Man was vulnerable at 10F on Poly and it wasn\'t too difficult to think the rest of the older horses in CA weren\'t anything special, but picking this horse to be the one to send out there was not very easy despite his solid second to Brass Hat and a few good races on Poly.

Jerry and Parra deserve a huge congratulations on this one!

The final time was slow, but on that surface, I wouldn\'t be shocked if the horse ran a new top given the ground loss...  I don\'t know how much a trainer can do in 2 days, but he certainly didn\'t screw things up. ;-)

Maybe on polytrack, he is. Takes a different beastie I think.

Great job Jerry, congrats!

I caught this tri and as soon as Mig said, \"thanks to thorograph\" i thought, \"ut oh, this price isn\'t going to be as good as i want\" I was right, only 2500 when it could have been a 4-5k tri for a buck considering the odds and field size.

A well deserved congratulations on the purchase and a really nice call on the ROTW. It looks like this horse exploded first time PAM.

Congrats to Jerry Brown!

Polytrack is opening up a lot of opportunities for a lot of people that are paying attention.

As good as it gets. Brown picks the horse out for the owners, then gives out the $48 winner.

Jerry, it don\'t get any better than that.

Congrats man.

Pay attention to what? A horse that ran 4th @ Keeneland by 3 1/2. I\'m not taking anything away from the purchase. So, speak for yourself chief? People on this board do pay attention.

Picking Farish\'s pockets puts you in a small & select group JB. Kudos on a job well done.

Student Council was 33-1 with 1 minute to post.  Goes off at 23-1....before they left the gate.

Jerry,  I know you had this one good to win and the exacta.  Great job and thanks for a very profotable ROTW ( My November trip to Maui is now paid for). Nice props from Mig and Cerin after the race too.  You continue to show why your product is the premier handicapping tool for serious players. Congratulations on the Gr 1.

Congrats JB and Mig, good to see some NY guys getting the money on the Left
Coast.

Does Student Council return to Asmussen\'s barn now? Will he run exclusively on
synthetic surfaces from now on or point to the BC Classic at Mth? I suggest
this year Mr. Parra leaves these decisions to The Guru Jerry Brown (TGJB).

Will there be Belmont Stake like problems assigning a T- Fig for this race?
There was only one other 2- turn synthetic race on the card, a glacially paced
1-1/16th allowance race run 1-1/2 hours before the Pac Classic.

A brief glance at the results shows how much the playing field has been leveled
at Del Mar. The early double was O\'Neill/ Mullins; the late Pick 3 was Cerin/
Mullins/O\'Neill.

Nothing like some great free publicity, and a share of a million dollar purse.

Bordercollie,

Time on del mar poly must be somewhat dismissed, especially in routes where the track speed is generally up to -100 to -120, 4 to 5 seconds slower than norm.Horses definitely run much slower on that surface and fig makers are kinda ignoring raw time.I doubt horses are really running there normal figs at del mar with it being so tiring, it makes no sense horses can perform the same.DRF will soon be posting a variant(not available yet)

Excellent purchase by JB, great ride by the Mig,and big legit poly run by the horse.

Lovango won the Forward Pass stakes at Arlington last weekend. 22/44/108/1:21.02 for 7fur. It\'s all up to the jocks. In general they run slower, but 2:07, is a total joke.

Arlington got alot of rain during the week prior to the Million and the main track played much faster than it has all season.  That was the reason for the argument between Del Mar President and Zayat\'s stables which lead to Zayat pulling all his horses - he wanted Del Mar to water the track to speed it up.

Del Mar is unlike the other poly\'s, playing much slower as KEE was at first.

I forgot all about this race this weekend and this horse until watching ESPN2\'s broadcast and hearing Mig\'s say \"Jerry Brown-Thorograph said this horse belonged in here.\" I was really happy for all you guys. I know y\'all POUNDED this one.

I remember playing Student Council as my key of the day opening day at Keeneland. He jumped off the sheets for me but got a wide 4th place ride that day.

I wish I would have been following along lately but I\'ve been buried in a budding romance:-)

It\'s been a pretty damn awesome year for Thorograph I would say. I hope to catch the next one!

Cerin made plenty of money with Super Frolic for the barn.

Why turn Student Council over to Assmussen? He had very limited success with  Santana Strings and Annika Lass two other Millenium runners.

Nice purchase-nice score-well done TGJB

I think it will depend on what the future plans for SC are.

Santana Strings won a graded stake at the Spa in 05. Annika raced in pretty
hard luck, just missing in some graded stakes.

Not saying this is SC\'s future, but there is a future out there for a stallion
who wins multiple graded stakes on synthetic as breeders will likely begin to
look to match sires and dams who have shown ability on synthetic surfaces...

Touchy, touchy, touchy!

I was referring to people that buy horses, not bet them. I should have made it clearer.
