Title: Rags to Riches Makes Attempt at Retirement
Post by: Chuckles_the_Clown2 on July 22, 2007, 10:01:24 AM
This morning in a workout the Belmont Thief balked. She took a funny step and was pulled up. Pletcher couldn\'t see a thing wrong, so he\'s called in his \"go to guy\", \"Allday the Needle\". Allday is going to give her a good \"going over\", which probably means what you suspect.

Does she have one more race in her? Can she prove it even against her own class? Will she run a Negative 2 again or will her next race and the races thereafter score out in the 1 range?

Pletch had her pointed for the CCA Oaks, why not the Haskell? Will she ever take on Colts again now that they are not on a set and demanding schedule?

Is she a one time wonder like Circular Quay was in the Louisiana Derby, vanquished handily in his every start since, yet bet down hard by many? Is Giant\'s Causeway nothing more than a good turf sire as some stated long ago?

If you don\'t already know the answers to these questions stay tuned to this forum. Same TFig analysis, some TFig conclusions.

What else is new?

A horse shows up that might actually get the fans excited and it either gets hurt, is retired, or runs 3-4 times a year.
