Title: Ellis Park Pick 4
Post by: Lost Cause on July 05, 2007, 03:36:08 PM
\"...Ellis Park has decided to reduce the takeout on their pick-4 wager to 4% from 22%, every day from now until the end of their meet September 3!
That is great news, because the payoffs will be substantially higher
if you hit.\"

Here\'s a recap of the first 2 days:

4 Jul.....$2 win parlay: $1318.68.....$2 pick 4:  $10,858....total pool:  $19,757
5 Jul.....$2 win parlay: $288.08......$2 pick 4:  $747.80....total pool:  $15,833

Nice overlays.  Especially if you can get some longshots in.  Which is easier to do with a $0.50 minimum bet.  I think I\'ll look at today\'s card.  Maybe we can get some discussion.

Well, I haven\'t looked at any sheets, but a quick perusal of the PP\'s leaves me with one single and a $70 ticket, and even then, I\'m far from confident.  I wanna single Frank\'s Time in the 7th, but I\'m wary of Elmont, a 15/1 shot just to his outside.  I\'m inclined to pass.
ElP only has 8 races today, which can\'t be a good sign.  I\'m pretty sure it\'s because they\'re still head to head with CD.  That should change next week.
Anyone seen the grass course at Ellis?  There\'s a vacant house down the street from me that has healthier looking grass.

Frank\'s time is scratched.  Have to use one of the other 2 speed horses.

4% take out is outstanding!

What a great move by track management. I hope horseplayers will support Ellis Park by playing their Pick 4.

I would love to play this, but my only access to U.S. parimutuel pools is through Youbet and as far as I can tell, I cannot access Ellis Park on Youbet. Is this right?

SCM:

Just another example of Racing shooting itself in the foot by limiting
horseplayer access. Strangely Ellis seems to be one of the few tracks which I
can bet online with Brisbet and watch on TVG.

Maybe we could get Kasparov to abandon his efforts against
Vladimir \"Staying\" Putin (I think there is no way VP leaves power in 2008) and
turns his energy towards the reform of Racing

I\'m breaking my \"as agreed to\" posting ban to say that the new TG special -- $10.00 for the Ellis Park P4 -- is a nice gesture on TG\'s part to help support this wager with the excellent reduction in takeout. Very classy move.

You can post, just don\'t bust my chops. Unless you buy data-- then you get one bust for every set you buy.

Hmmm... maybe that\'s a good rule for CTC...

I bought your data for at least a couple thousand worth, but I did more than buy it.

I studied it.

If this is in regard to Rags our moment of truth can\'t be too far off.

What I do appreciate is the open discourse you allow.

I was involved in debate regarding issues pertaining to the Constitution, Fascism, Trust and Republican Deceit at Pace Advantage in \"Off Topic\" subject matter. The host there lacking your intellect couldn\'t understand the issues and censored civil liberal posts even in \"off topic\" forums. He went to far as to  privately threaten me.

I defended myself of course, but such is the stuff of undereducated debate. You don\'t find that here.

Crazy men even out of government.
