Title: Lets call this the Chuckles the Clown Board vs TG
Post by: NoCarolinaTony on May 17, 2007, 07:51:09 AM
Dear Jerry,

The board is getting to the point where the occaisional discussion on handicapping and sheet reading exchanges are overshadowed by personal vendetta\'s and charachter assasinations where inuendo can superseed facts.

Your friend Chuckles is allowed to dominate this board, with an occaisional insightful comment but more often than not, its loaded with pompous arrogance.

I will refrain from posting here, as the hadicapping insights are harder to find vs wading through the NVA (I\'ll call it NON VALUE ADDED) stuff that seems to permeate the board.(such as the lesson on Japan we recently had to endure)

Perhaps you should consider two forums or boards, one for just handicapping, and one for everything else or even better yet, set Chuckles up his own \"BLOG\" where he can go off on CI (I\'ll call it Chuckie \"ISMS\").

PS Since I\'m in Charlotte NC, I don\'t bet the Preaknees as I am attending the NASCAR ALLSTAR Race on that day. Usually the Preakness offers little value, but the rest of the day\'s card looks great.

My two cents say, that the only value play in the race will be CQ. Not sure he will win it, but he will be moving together with SS every step of the way, with all the cheap speed signed up that may compromise Hard Spun chances.

Tony I tend to agree. If you are offending people who post on the Board,
then you are offending people who read the Board.
But don\'t go away just try and rise above it.

Tony a little anecdotal for you for over the weekend at the races.
At the Derby I shook hands with \"The King\"
Richard Petty. Dressed in black coat, black hat, and
more black on black.

As I stood there Laffit Pincay walked up.
Pincay was introduced to Petty as
someone who won 10,000 races. Petty replied, \"Well I
guess my little old 200 NASCAR wins don\'t even add up
to a whole lotta nothin.\"

Petty then asked a nearby camera man to take a picture
of him with Pincay. He shook Pincay\'s hand then seemed
to walk off in the sunset and vanish as though the
whole thing was a mirage.

Talk about a figure that was truly larger than life.

I wasn\'t around yesterday, just stopped in for a minute late, didn\'t see most of the fireworks until just now. Some of it I consider offensive, some I do not, but lots of it is annoying, and none of it belongs here.

CTC-- we\'ve been down this road before. This is your only warning. Don\'t go anywhere near the line, or do anything (including just being your annoying self) that could even remotely bother the paying customers, or me, or you\'ll be gone. Again. You won\'t get the benefit of the doubt, or any more chances.

Silver,

I wonder what an autograph of Petty and Pincay on the same paper would be worth to some collector. I saw Petty on the TV broadcast. Nice circle of friends to be running with on Derby Day.

Can you imagine if the really allowed betting on Nascar how much money and discussions around race fixing and cheating etc could be had.
