Title: WOODFORD RESERVE- JERRY&LEN GOT IT WRONG!
Post by: high roller on May 07, 2007, 07:56:08 AM
both sheets & thoro gave the canadian horse who won the woodford reserve a very slow number for the makers mark mile, how could a horse be 2-3 wide against showing up & kip deville lose by 2 lengths and get that slow of a number?

jerry you gave it a 5, i ignored it and made a major score!

High Roller,

Ditto. But both exacta and tri were alas underlayed. Must have been because of our bets!

High Roller-- SC got a rail trip in the Maker\'s under 119, while the other two were wide under 123. SQ earned the same figure that day he did when he came off the layoff last year, and he had a big number to run back to, as you noticed. Trainer does well second off a layoff, I used him myself and hit the tri, though the win photo cost me pretty good.

The chart calls from Equibase and DRF (which now gets its calls from Equibase) do not distinguish between turns and straightaways. You will see calls of 6 wide or 6 path when the horse was on the rail on the turn, and swung out for the drive.

tough crowd Jerry.

SC did the same thing first out as he did last year en route to a championship season.

and you\'re getting bashed for the first out figure?

and, given that SC was in just about last place after 1M on Saturday, does anybody really want to say he was a toss because his previous 1M figure was too slow?

good hit there for me. had me alive for about 40g in pk3\'s heading into the Derby (on very small wagers). if only they paid out a conso pk3 if you nailed the last place finisher cold in the Derby.

Let me clarify. Far be it for me to \"bash\" Jerry. Just the opposite. I have the highest regard for his abilities and insights. I picked SC (and Brilliant) using my own methodology which incorporates in part JB\'s assessment and numbers.
