Title: "Instant Racing"
Post by: Sandreadis on April 25, 2007, 03:15:14 PM
Ohio is pushing a plan to allow the 7 tracks to install machines that would take bets on horse races that have already been run. The terminals give gamblers winning % of jockeys, trainers and horses. Dates and locations remain hidden. The idea is to allow betting at any time. Instant racing is legal in Arkansas and Oregon.
Has anyone seen or used one of these machines? What are your thoughts on this?
Ohio just doesn\'t get it. Not a casino in the state but Cyber racing is going to save the horse industry... and you guys thought NY was bad.

Between Instant Racing and the Beulah twins, I think Ohio racing is
definitely moving in the same direction as New York racing.

I\'ve met the Beulah Twins FWIW, and they are personable and very hard working.

I\'d take the twins over instant racing any day.
