Title: ROTW
Post by: Richie on March 15, 2002, 10:55:24 AM
The rotw up at 8:00am friday, nice surprise.

Have to excuse High stars last and say he is sitting on a big race with the move back to the top. Isn\'t this an example of an explosive line for a young 3yr old?

I also like puck at 15-1, hopefully he can move foward 1 more time, I liked his work the other day, and I like that he won at 1 1/8 at GP. I\'ll use him 2nd/3rd also.

Toss these horses PEELSKILL-SMOOTH JAZZ-NOKOMA ( which are both the entry at 5-1 )

Use these horses lightly in the EX\'s: PUCK-PERSONAL REWARD-D\'COACH.

Use these horses heavier in the EX\'s: HIGH STAR-BOOKLET.

This leaves three horses left.

HARLAN\'S HOLIDAY will have the most play on him in the EX\'s with my two keys.

MONTHIR (6-1)---He has only went forward 1 point from this two year old top and Gulch gets about 3 points from that two yr.old top which means this horse has about 2 more points to move forward off that 3.2 at some point. Will he move any today?? I dont know!!! What i do know is, he is a healthy young horse and at worst he will run a 5.3 in here.
BLUE BURNER (8-1)---What i\'m doing here is taking a big shot on this one to run a new top and at worst he WILL run a 6.3 What i have been seeing is horses who pair up or triple up numbers will keep doing it, but at some time or another they will move forward and keep running new top\'s. One hoss that comes to mind who did this was CHARISMATIC what he did was ran the three 11.3\'s and two 8.3\'s and hit the 8 which looked like he would pair it up again but he went forward off this to run a 3.2 and BLUE BURNER might have about one or maybe two more points move left in him.

But then again, what do i know???

Harlan\'s Holiday looks good for a zero or a five. If he throws the five, others have a shot. I would bet Monthir to win at 6-1 and use him in exactas w/Blue Burner and High Star. This would be more of a flyer than a big play. If Monthir wasn\'t more than 5-1 I would pass altogether. HP

Well last night i didnt know how i was going to play this race, but when i got to the OTB, i saw how high the EX\'s were with HH and my two keys. Enough said. I\'m going to have to say HH ran a zero in here.

After this one, I hope Booklet keeps taking money. There\'s no way this horse is going to get the distance, TGI notwithstanding. I don\'t see the pace in the Derby being too much softer than this. HP
