does anyone really think anybody outside of Baffert can ship a horse to win a KY derby?
Oneill....ummmm...no. even with KY drugs.
Shireffs ...not likely.
Mullins...KY derby is not a clmg race as far as we know.
Mandella...god, I wish he\'d win one of htese.
Stute (any of them)...unknown commodity for TC.
Sadler...no opinion.
Frankel...more inclined with older horses.
Drysdale...fan bet only.
that\'s about it I think....
Well two of the names on your list already did....
Shireffs - Giacomo
Drysdale - Fusaichi Pegasus
and Frankel and Oneil are two of the rare ones who get horses to run well outside of California. And i am about as \"anti\" california as it gets, but have to keep things real on the board Shanny.
-Bull
Yes!!! Especially if they have the best horse. I think Dougie just has the best Horse. Proven with top company and outside Cali
I remember some old marine named Whittingham. I think he sent a few horses from California to Kentucky.
Oneill....has won on Derby Day undercard before.
Mullins...milkshake tubes may be allowed \"again\" this year.
Stute (any of them)...See Snow Chief. Just do not ride Solis
Frankel...Empire Maker second with a bum foot and bum trip. Appitude 2nd-See last Stute comment.
Drysdale...FuPeg-See Mullins comment
yes, ol charlie whittingham was the man...but that\'s kind of ancient history isn\'t it?
plus the modern rule is first time trainer at the Derby with a PA bred, no?
C\'mon Shanny. When you guys are enjoying 30 degree weather and snow in April, do you just manufacture reasons to hate us out here as we enjoy 70 degrees??
Nothing wrong with some of those trainers you listed, as Bull has pointed out. You can go to any circuit and find trainers that haven\'t won that race.

Let\'s have this discussion again in 100 years when we are enjoying 70 degrees and you are frying eggs on your head. ;-)
awww....just having some fun and getting the juices going. BTW - in the recent Bloodhorse , a great 2 page picture of Oaklawn from the Rebel...truth be told, I didn\'t even recognize it upon first glance...won\'t be confused with Keeneland, but the weather has been much better this year...field sizes are ? in relation to year\'s past, but FG kicked Oaks ass on purses - even with Instant racing.
