I\'m leaning towards the belief that he\'s a good horse, but there is some competition in this race and he caught a tough hole. His connections are talking about changing his style some. I think he could lose this race and if he doesnt lose it beating him will become all that more difficult. If I were going to take a stand against him this would be the spot. I\'m deliberating upon that.

If he\'s a one dimensional speed horse, he\'s in trouble. There is other speed inside of him and I don\'t think he can overcome a real bad wide trip. The race does not set up well for him,but the connections stated(drf) that they may take back, they all say that, sometimes to no avail.

Going Ballistic could trip out and Forty Grams is on the improve.

Needs to stay out of So Cal where the just run to quick for his one paced grinding style.

Needs smart handling from an owner (Porter) who mismanaged a Derby prospect
(Rockport Harbor)along the same trail last year.

I killed Mr Porter all last Spring on the board. His filly Round Pond ran me
over in the BC Distaff. I love this game.

DRF has Porter saying that he picked the colt out with the help of John
Servis before the two parted ways.

at 1st i loved hs , now however my thinking is a small regression is whats next for him and fg is the one that runs through the recent tops - improves 40 ft at the distance and gb looks interesting too . but the play i\'m really getting on the bus for today is the early op dd #1 / #2 + op 5th exbx #\'s 4-6 . both look imo like the 2 most reasonable plays ( on the card ) that could pay ... a late op dd very litely 3x1 w/ codasco in the 10th has some limited appeal to me - but it\'s not that special - like the others today , c- to b+ play\'s at best .   ryan\'s for real also looks like a good play at lrl -9- today if ml prices hold up ...

1 mile on the weeds maybe?

he looks like a Lure/War Chant type.

gets one more shot on dirt though. that was a wide/wide weight spotting trip.

i guess teuflesbergs only bouncing 2 pts last time should have tipped me off that he wasn\'t going 02x today  ...

Hard Spun\'s trip was foreseeable. He did spot weight and got strung wide. It was a good place to try to beat him, but I passed the wager.

He was wide enough and carried enough weight to earn the best number in my opinion, but will defer to Tgraph upon that. I did not view losing by the 3 and a fraction lengths negatively. What I viewed as negative was that he did not appear to be finishing strongly. Am not sure he was used aggressively in the spot though, but why should he have been. It was a good effort, but it wasn\'t a phenom effort. He does deserve another race and if the odds are right and I think they may be it may be the time to get back on.
