Title: Breeders Cup
Post by: Chuckles_the_Clown2 on November 04, 2006, 03:34:12 PM
First off, regrets involving Pine Island. I can\'t remember Shug losing a Grade I winner on the track before and if it can happen to him it can happen to anybody. My bets went down with Pine Island, but you have to feel for racing and the first family of racing. Tragic.

The Classic ran fairly formful. Bernardini is a good horse, he was beating up on weak three year olds however. He certainly was not in the league of some of the great ones. His one unrestricted race came up weak. In the Classic he was exposed. If they want to hang the bridle of greatness on him he\'ll have to come back next year. Still, hes 3YO champion, congrats and congrats to HOTY Invasor!

The sprint was a gift. I\'m still boggled that Thors Echo could go off anywhere near those odds.

And what about Street Sense? Now theres a horse!

Lastly, Terrible Todd had a nice money day ...TOO BAD HE DIDNT WIN...lol

What a day. Great Breeders Cup!

IMO - the only truly great horse in today\'s Breeder\'s Cup was Ouija Board.

The other great horses in the world didn\'t run at CD today.

The Classic was slow.

The track sucked bad too. Talk about a golden rail. The CD staff should be ashamed...

Finally we learned that Bernardini was all hype. Sure he ran credeible as did Bro Derek but Bernardini ain\'t no Unbridled or Seattle Slew...

Well Invasor was 2w on the first turn and 3 to 4 wide on the second and finished going away. He didn\'t have the golden rail.

I was at Churchill and they watered the track noticably between the Distaff and the Classic, may have helped even out the running lanes.
