Title: Drug Wagering
Post by: Chuckles_the_Clown2 on August 30, 2006, 10:55:13 AM
Obviously you can factor the usual suspects and cash.

I do find it very interesting that TGJB wins a contest in a jurisdiction that was close to clean. Its been my belief that the Rampant Drug Era makes it tougher to find those good 4 to 6-1 horses that use to be more common. Now, its key the low odds drug users horse or go long for the bomb.

Now I know the format of those contests is long odds horses with a chance. I just think the longer odds horses have a better chance with the drugs out of the game and I\'m nearly certain that the host here believes the same.

CTC-- interesting comment about the different types of odds plays now vs. before.

In terms of the contest, this one was NOT a stab contest-- that\'s why I played. Real money (6k, had to bet at least 300 a race), exotics allowed, only 50 players, all play the same races. The National is a different story-- as I said here after DMR, I gotta be 100-1 in that one.
