King David:
Listen to the archive or pod edition of today\'s show at the above link...EVERYONE talked about it there.
the radio show and discussion about the rev was very interesting . they made some good points pro and con . jockey eddie king made an appearence on the show and really added his expertise and insight to the discussion as did the other guests .
jj , samm and crew also invited jackson on to the show to present his side of things on the air - we\'ll see what happens ...
i didn\'t realize to what degree the union is in disarray w/ only 1/3 returning ballots .
my feeling is that this is probably not the best thing the jockey\'s guild ...
Thanx Deb...am listening to and enjoying the program immensely!!
Marcus....looks like the jockeys are alot dumber than the gamblers...if thats possible
dr - very well put - i began to realize how weak the position of the jockeys and guild are when i was watching a ky race last winter that definately should have been cancelled due to inclement weather which resulted in a bad spill and the death of the jock .
the track had already completely washed out ( as evidenced by previous races on the card ) and was under water , it was clear to me that the surface could not be used for racing at that point - the race and the balance of the card should have been canceled ...
Ironic that JJ gets involved with jocks/CD. Slavery issues are right up his ally.
