Forcast calls for T-Storms Friday, clearing Sat and Sunday. Track is sealed and sloppy today.
For those of you that play Belmont regualrly, what type of track will we see Saturday?? How does it usually play with this type of weather??
Any comments on how the turf course will play?? I don\'t play Belmont often and looking for some help from those of you with some experience out there......thanks.

Cannot comment on how dirt will play. I personally will look for an up front running style in the Manhattan Handicap. A Belmont turf with give in it tends to favor speed when going long.
PS: I should have thought about that before INTERCONTINENTAL crossed the wire in the BC F&M Turf last year.
Good Luck,
Joe B.

When Belmont turf becomes boggy, you can literally throw a dart at the paper/sheets because nothing makes sense.I would definitely lean to runners that like it soft and toss those that do not regardless of figs. With all the rain, I would think it will have to be soft or close to it.
More showers forecast off and on tonight and tomorrow with clearing and lows 70\'s for Sat.

last weeek on turf i noticed a couple horse\'s running back to very old distant back numbers , the turf course should be about the same this weekend : gd / yldng , almost heavy by north american standards ...
If the weather remains the same, the winner .....Bob and John. I believe this without a doubt.
Is that a confidence bet on the horse or Al Roker?!
I like him too.
I have the bad feeling he will be touted, perhaps the second choice??
I could be wrong, but can\'t imagine Bob and John being shorter odds than either of the Pletcher horses or Steppenwolfer.--Jett
Belmont for Friday as of now, muddy main, off the turf for all except the stake(10th).Turf listed soft and I am told it\'s beyond that. The 10th will also come off if any rains shows between now and then.Ugh!

A lite shower is forecast ( ny1 ) for this evening - hopefuly it won\'t be more than just that . If the 10th goes as carded , i might take a flyer on Good Reward , my thinking is it\'s an excellent opertunity to take a shot w/ a horse off a buried figure to get value .
not only that, but the rail certainly helps the cause here with a projected ground saving trip, which puts him right there. I really like this one on Sat. The only issue is the turf condition. Good Luck
