Three maiden races and a statebred allowance on the Belmont card, and short fields all around.

.....and if they come off the grass Saturday, fuggedaboutit. The race office wanted more grass races but were frightened off by the present weather and future forecast.NYRA is snake bit, ya gotta feel for them a little.

The pick 4 looks good with three Grade I\'s and a Grade II.  Three 9 horse fields and a full gate for the Belmont. Volatility insured as 18 of the 39 horses have different riders than in their last race. BBB

The likely shortest price in the P4 sequence took the worst of the draw in the W. Stephens... would love to get him out of the gimmick.

JB... in the condition book for Belmont Day there was a NW1xT and a NW3xT written for early in the card.  Do you think they pulled them to save the turf course for the two Graded turf races?  Hard to believe those wouldn\'t naturally have overloaded fields. Only the MSW after the Belmont was actually carded.  Depending on how chopped up the course gets, that race could get pulled during the card.
