I have direct TV and channel 602 is TVG, but I think some packages do not offer all channels. BBB

You need to order the sports package to get it.

TVG has a weekly show called \"The Finish Line\". Recaps week\'s races.  They also have a show called \"The Speed Zone\" which follows the Sprint Division (TVG sponsors that BC race).

ESPN\'s Wire to Wire used to be pretty good but they don\'t really tell you anything you don\'t already know.

So the bottom line seems to be that if I dump Time Warner Cable and get Direct TV, I lose good old Channel 71 (aka the OTB network) and the direct NYRA feed, and would have to pay extra for a sports package.

I have to pay extra and won\'t be able to look at Jan Rushton\'s ..er, hats?

Could be a deal breaker. Must investigate further.

Direct tv may be cheaper even with the extra cost of the sports package. Also, besides NYRA you get other non-magna races (Hollywood, Churchill, etc.). No hats worth mentioning though. Asfufh

Get Dish Network and for $40 you can get 120 channels which includes TVG & HRTV.

Richiebee -

You won\'t be able to see her hats, but you can get the NYRA audio feed including Jan\'s comments on the Belmont/Saratoga/Aqueduct websites...home page, left hand side, scroll down to \"Broadcast, Live Audio\".

Direct used to have two options for the daily NYRA replay show...one was on the local Fox network station same day; and the other was via TVG the next day.  I know that the TVG option is still valid because I tape the NYRA show.  But I don\'t know about the Fox schedule as we cancelled Direct when our local cable finally added TVG to its schedule, and that was almost a year ago.

If you have a TVG account and the video streaming option, you can get the NYRA track feed on your computer and see and hear Jan.  This is also true for Youbet and I assume any of the other betting services with live video.  They usually carry the track simulcast feeds - thankfully!

Hope this helps.
