Post by: joshb82 on May 23, 2006, 01:07:09 AM

Tuesday May 23rd - Indiana Downs, Race 1, MSW13.9K, 35yo

#2 You Got It, 5yo, Unraced 2yo, 3 races 3yo, 29,27,27, 2 year layoff to May 5th, Ran 17.. 2 1/2 weeks rest into today

#4 Kiris Fee, 5yo, 31 top 2yo(2 races), 23 top 3yo(4 races), 24 top 4yo(12 races), Opened 5yo campaign with 19 on Apr 22, came back in two weeks on May 8th and ran 21.. 2 weeks rest into today

#6 Aircutter, 4yo, Unraced 2yo, Unraced 3yo, Career debut on May 3rd ran 19.. 2 1/2 weeks rest into her 2nd career start today

#7 Side Cut Halo, 4yo, Unraced 2yo, 27 top 3yo (5 races), Ran 25 early January, 3 month layoff to April 21st, ran 23, 2 weeks rest to May 6th, ran 19.. 2 1/2 weeks rest into today

Which of these patterns is the strongest for these lightly raced, older maidens and why?  None of the trainers really distinguish themselves from one another (5-12% winners)

Would love some input on this.

Thanks!!

I believe the strongest line is side cut halo, no sheets in front of me only your info

you got it - nice start as a 3yr, then a problem, the first back 17 is very good, best fig of your 4, I would play him only at decent odds, over 4-1, otherwise I suspect a reaction.

Kris fee- lots of races and never broke thru his 3yr old top, a bad sign. Finally broke thru and backed up 2 pts today, the old 0-2- X today, a throw out

air cutter- I don\'t play the one number pony to move foward, especially fillies, not for me

Side cut- like the fact that he broke thru his top 1st time out at 4, a good sign, this is a developing horse (if its possible at Indiana downs), I like the feel of the line. If the odds were good he is my choice among the four, however, if he was 8/5, i\'d pass or look yo the first one.

just some thoughts good luck

Thanks for the analysis.

Side Cut Halo is the 4th betting choice among the track handicapper with a 6-1 morning line.
