Did TT get hurt?

I didn\'t realize until now that this was your ROTW.  And please don\'t anyone bother to accuse me of redboarding because I didn\'t win.

The more I looked at this race, the more I liked Prorunner. I knew he\'d be long because unless you looked long and hard you\'d toss him as outclassed.  But, in the event, he proved he belonged by running a bangup third at 28-1.  I had him with Cigar Pal & Thunder Touch (the pick by Thorograph), neither of whom did much.

My only point here is to emphasize how tough this game is day in and day out.  I picked a real nice longshot, my judgment was spot on (other than hooking him up with the wrong horses), and I still got nothing.

Thunder Touch has always been an east coast type runner, stalk and pounce. Having seen him run many times I can\'t imagine that speed favoring surfaces in So Cal will allow him to perform his best.

Give him to Rickey and he\'ll be in the BC sprint by years end.

Classic! Tricky Ricky would have him in negative range in no time indeed. I played the recommended two horses in yesterday\'s Pick 6 sequence. Missed that race. OUCH...

rather have 5 of 6 than 4 of 6 though

Maybe Jerry should have two titles...rotw and find of the week
Not 1st time Brown has spotted an opportunity for his clientele and advertised such on rotw.
The Dubai horse was purchased and shipped to left coast...went off at 4/1 ...and some folks cashed
This animal shipped west,SIDELINED,comes into race 5 pts faster...m.l.4/1...no cash
My question to Jerry:
Is working w/Cerin as difficult as working w/Dickinson?...oh those nagging layoffs!!

TT ran a top returning from a lay off in his 3rd career race as a 3 yo , then at 4 yo he ran an off effort off the lay off , and saturday TT probably ran off his top again  . I think the play was ( and I just happen to agree with it ) , if TT can fire fresh - he wins ...
I think the Comparisons of Cerin to MD might be a bit premature , Dickinson would have scratched the horse a million times by now  ...

I don;t know Dickenson at all but what he did with DaHoss surely has to rank at the top of 20th century training accomplishments. I\'m sure Dickenson\'s horses like him. I think Matt\'s got some of his methodologies from MD.

I will always give a long look to anything he sends out...

Top percentile of all time accomplishments w/ Da Hoss I would estimate . Originally MD did not want to run Da Hoss on turf as per Jerry\'s wishes and later went on national TV basically saying they told him in NY that he couldn\'t run the horse on turf - go figure ...

David-- about the only horse I ever worked with Michael on was Da Hoss. Among his cute doings were thanking me privately for my contributions (like finding the horse, for starters), but never mentioning me publicly, until he took the cheap shot at me from the winners circle at Woodbine. Yes, when they do make it to the gate they are ready to run-- if you are a bettor he\'s a great trainer. If you own or manage them, as someone else said here, buy the industrial size Maalox.

Vlado has some of the same characteristics, yes. He doesn\'t play public/private games, but they don\'t make it to the gate very often, despite never having an injury serious enough to require surgery or being turned out.
