Title: Oaks Analysis Question-Man Illusion
Post by: Sandreadis on May 10, 2006, 12:33:54 PM
Thorograph stated Man of Illusion would have to improve just to make the exotics. Was this based on his races from Australia? I\'m sure you don\'t see many Aussie runners. He looked like the fastest horse to my eye in his lone US race, the Shakertown at KEE.Many of the runners from the Shak. ran in the Aegon. Just curious how you derived this opinion.  Thanks
I am aware he had some bleeding issues in AUS. but he looked like a million dollars in the paddock and ran like it.

Their may be good reasons why he did not run his best in Australia (probably were, given how he ran), but this race required around a 3 to have a chance to hit the board, and for his races in Australia to have been 3\'s,an awful lot of horses down there would have to be running very big figures. And his only race here was not good enough-- he moved forward this past weekend.

Racing Victoria are saying \"Man of Illusion wins for Australia\". That would be the same lot that banned him for life from running in Australia. Unbelieveable.

the man of illusion here is biancone. after the race he said that he fixed a few \"breathing problems\" for the horse when he got him.
...

would be interested in hearing more about the other story.
