Title: Calling out JB on Sinister
Post by: Tony on April 27, 2006, 07:31:41 PM
JB,

This line is so anti-derby winner based on ancient history. Take a stand he is a toss if he wins he wins. Don\'t give us the old negative and end with \"on the other hand\" routine. He ran a huge jump up, runs on the lead, and is not pulling a war emblem.

Remember Spend A Buck.....Remember War EMBLEM.....Remember Winning Colors.....

Sure the horse can bounce...but why does he have to..because you think so..because of last year?.....

Horses don\'t \"have\" to bounce.

My last post on the subject until post position draw and works are viewed.

Otherwise I\'m off the derby speak until then.

NC Tony,

You are right - I am off the sm bashing. If he clears in unlike songandaprayer fractions and pairs he wins.

My apologies to all you sm backers.

WE and WC didn\'t run 45.0 or maybe even 44.4 in there race did they?? Your right this derby is dead on like last year. I thought I had ask this few days ago, BD why didn\'t he get back to his top in his last race, hell he only had about 11 weeks to do it in. Let\'s look at L.Ron now, took him only 11 weeks to get back to his top and when he did he bore in. Three weeks rest and he\'s going to do what move forward off that?? Toss those two out of the top 2 spots and now you have yourself something to look forward to.

I think you got it, my thoughts exactly. SNS, BARB, PD,CTB, SR, SW, require further analysis. One of these will win.

You are definitely correct about War Emblem.  If I remember correctly, he was lone speed in the Illinois Derby.  He heavy favorite was Repent (who would go on to narrowly miss in the Travers) who was a deep closer.  So despite a big final fig earned by War Emblem, there were major questions about him handling pressure.
