Title: TENPINS
Post by: Mall on June 14, 2002, 07:27:37 PM
Given that he has won 6 of 7 & has never bounced, given his versatile running style & a very favorable pace scenario, given that his dam has produced 3 other stakes winners, given the fact that he is very lightly raced, given that he is getting 6 & 5lbs from C & SC, I disagree with the assessment that for some reason today is the day Tenpins bounces. There\'s a chance of that of course, but at 8-1 or higher it\'s a chance well worth taking, particularly if you\'re looking for value under St Cry. I hate to go against the champ, but unless he gets loose on the lead & improves dramatically, Congaree is only about 10-1 to win this contest, & a logical toss in the exacta & maybe even the tri. StC is fair odds at 3-1 & looks good over Tenpins, Connected, & $Bill. At the same time, it\'s not a race to go overboard on, as the 4,5,6,9 & 11 look to be better opportunities in a pretty solid card.

Sorry RD, but I don\'t have the time or inclination to teach you how to make an odds line or how to determine value. Perhaps you could ask D. Patent or one of the other members of the Rags Bd. While you\'re at it, you might want to also ask if they think  you are the kind of person they want as an example of who uses the Rags. I used them for close to 20 yrs almost exclusively, & still use them at time nowadays, & I can\'t remember ever meeting anyone even remotely like you.

What kind of time RD? It takes about 5 mins to think of a response to what little you have to say, & I could keep the whole thing under 10 mins if I could learn to type a little faster. Though you\'re a minor  distraction to me at best, the problem results from the fact that what JB once called the \"lunatic fringe\" drives away serious handicappers, including one I\'ve been trying to lure back for some time. You also disrupt the give & take of the other reg members of the Bd, who have taught me a no. of things over the last 6 mos.

I agree that life isn\'t horrible & in fact for me it\'s going quite well. I made more in real $$ on the above play than you\'re likely to collect over the next yr or 2 in imaginery money. However,I\'m enjoying our little chats so much that I can\'t take your suggestion to lighten up. I think it\'s down right fun to turn over the rock on someone like you & see what\'s really there & I actually did lol when I saw the whining plea in your last post to the same people you\'ve been ridiculing over the last 2 weeks.

7 minutes!!!

sometimes I get the feeling you\'re behind a bush, outside my window, typing this on a laptop.
since it takes you 5-10 minutes to compose these informative notes, you must be sitting in front of your monitor, constantly refreshing the screen , hoping for some comment from me.
maybe I should consider putting out a newsletter.

look, if it\'s so important to you, I\'ll give you a pat on the head for managing to have a positive view on a 7-1 horse who barely managed to cling to 3rd by a desperate nose.
(a horse who you thought was value at \"8-1 and higher\").
nice work picking exactly half the field, jerry brown jr --- you tossed the chalk (who I also tossed), and used 4 others in an 8 horse field, 3 of which were the shorties.
your one price horse was nowhere.

after 16 races (bel 12 + cd 4), this is what you dredge up for my attention??

get yourself a dog, they love you no matter what you\'re like.
