Title: JB/Kilroe mile fast horse
Post by: congaree1 on March 05, 2006, 09:04:05 AM
Jerry i believe the fast horse RAGS was talking about was, (CHARMO) who i liked. but when he bet down to 4-1, i was certain this was the horse they were taling about. My friend uses the rags and his last fig was a 2, much faster then the rest of the field. I ended up betting CHINESE DRAGON of his 2 at Louisiana Downs.

Chinese Dragon was my key also, I had him underneath Milk it Mick in in the exacta which would have been juicy...tough beat.  I was assuaged somewhat by having a good score on Fast Parade in the Baldwin.

Folks, the fastest horse in the Kilroe Mile was Cacique......I don\'t know what was worse, the start or the finish, but I had a real chance to ring the bell....Let\'s see who gets the best TG number.

This horse was 7-5 in a 13 horse field going a mile. Anyone taking that short of a price in a Gr1 race with 13 horses (even though many were not GR 1 caliber) is asking for trouble. I don\'t know what bell would have been rung, but it couldn\'t have been too loud at 7-5 unless you hasd P3s going to it.  No doubt he was the best horse, but tough to take at a short price. At this point, whoever got the fastest number really doesn\'t matter.

Saw the race on \"Inside Racing\" last night.  8 wide (maybe a little more) coming off the second turn?  I agree with you spa, Cacique was easily the best...  HP
